The beginning of this year，the “China and European Taking Care of Healthcare Solution”(CHETCH) was approved by EU. This research project financed by the European Committee with the 7th Framework, as a part of “PEOPLE MARIE CURIE ACTIONS”. It intends to promote the cooperation between European and China through the investing of opportunities for mutual integration in the healthcare sector. Through the interdisciplinary method, cooperation and potential synergies will be examined from a comprehensive perspective, including policies, at national and local level, the legal environment, medical practices, healthcare industries and related business, and promote the combination of Chinese Traditional and Western Medicine, to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation of reciprocity and mutual benefit between China and European countries .
European Foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the member of the WFAS, gets the qualification to join in this research project. In addition, participants also including several universities in Italy and Belgium , the Chinese side has the Beijing Normal University, East China university of Political Science and Law, Hunan University, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and South China University of Technology, a total of five Chinese universities.
Professor Ramon, the President of European Foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said:"As a member of WFAS, we have been trying to promote the development of Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Spain and even in Europe more than 20 years, thanks to the support of the WFAS, make the foundation has a place in European Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and so today we can work on the significant scientific research plan with China and several European universities side by side."
