Dr. Liu Yun, a member of WFAS Executive Committee, delivered a lecture at Huston Chinese American TCM School in Texas, U.S.
Huston Chinese American TCM School organizes an academic meeting in February each year where famous doctors from domestic and abroad are invited to deliver a lecture to certified TCM doctors. The academic meeting was held in February 21 this year. President Liang Shenping felt honored that Dr. Cao Hongxin, president of CACMS, director of WFAS Specialist Committee, participated in the meeting at his invitation; he was grateful to Dr. Cao who took time from his busy schedule to make a keynote speech.
President Cao highlighted the application of TCM in treating difficult and complicated cardiovascular diseases in his speech. The speech received positive feedbacks from the TCM doctors present who hope to invite president Cao to make a keynote speech in Chinese American TCM School every year.
Dr. Liu Yun, deputy director of WFAS Academy Committee, gave a lecture about micro needle and special needle practice. The speech received good opinions from the teachers and students present.
Founded by Liang Shenping in 1991, Chinese American TCM School has been recognized by mainstream medicine in America for its high quality education for the past 18 years. The school has established 9 TCM acupuncture teaching clinics in Methodist Hospitals, Memorial Hermann Hospital, and Rice University. These clinics provide TCM acupuncture services to residents in Huston. Dr. Ben Despain is responsible for the internal administration of the school.
